My Son And His Pet Frog

So my son now has a pet frog. The other night when we were taking our trash cans to the curb and I moved one of the cans, and underneath it was a frog. He immediately asked if he could keep it as a pet, and after some debate, my son walked away with a brand new pet frog. We quickly made it a nice home in a plastic container, and my son grabbed a glass jar to use to carry him around, which he used to give it a tour of the house – the whole house. He opened the dishwasher, the fridge showed him every cabinet and drawer and took it into every room in the house, it was really cute. After the tour of the house he took the frog to his bedroom and my 3 year old daughter tagged along. They were in there quite a long time talking to the frog and playing with it which was good to see the two of them bonding – even if it was over a frog. After a while I heard a slight argument break out between the two of them, and what I heard next dropped me to the floor in laughter:

Dad, Sydney is pulling down her pants and showing her butt to my frog!

– and that my friends is just another part of the day in the life of a Stay At Home Dad.

Enjoy the new pet! If it has amazingly long back legs it is a frog. If not, it is a toad. Toads are more fun to keep; they require less water. But do remember to keep him well hydrated.
